Are interested in getting to Finnish students?

Are you interested in the Finnish culture? Would you like to learn a bit of the language of the country you are studying in? Would you be happy to teach your native language or tell about your own culture to the Finnish fellow students of yours?

Student Union’s educational committee is here to give you an amazing chance: Each One Teach One program is here! Each One Teach One matches Finnish students with foreign students who are interested in each others’ cultures. We’ll try to find a pair for every person wanting to participate in the program. The pairs will then get to arrange meetings according to their own schedules – whether they decide to go for a coffee or do something really Finnish

It doesn’t matter if your answer isn’t “yes” to every single question above – it’s enough that you are eager to get to know our Finnish students!

Signing up for the program starts right away and lasts until Wednesday, 24 of February 2010. Please send an e-mail to miina.tikkanen@student.hse.fi, and let us know your name, your contact information, your age and the country you come from / the languages you speak and would be happy to teach.

Greetings,

Miina & Johanna

International survey on studies and career plans

Helsinki School of Economics is one of over 775 universities taking part in the trendence Graduate Barometer (the former European Student Barometer), Europe’s largest education and career survey.

The questions asked in the survey include how satisfied you are with your studies and what you expect from your future career, including potential employers. The survey gathers student opinions from across Europe and explores differences and similarities that exist among countries, making the students’ transition from higher education to the labour market easier.

We therefore invite you to participate in the trendence Graduate Barometer 2010. The survey is conducted online and is quick and easy to fill out. We can reassure you that your answers will be anonymous and your data will be legally protected.

After completing the survey, you can compare your answers to the average results of students in Europe. Furthermore, you have the chance to win one of the following prizes:

* 2 x € 1000
* 5 x € 500

If you are an international student in Helsinki School of Economics, please click here to participate: http://www.trend-surveys.de/uc/esb9/?a=1
