As KY celebrates its 101^st birthday, we are proud to present the performer of the evening: Apulanta! This legendary Finnish rock band will not leave you cold, even if you are covered in ice. Make sure to get your tickets in advance or you might find yourself missing the biggest party of the year! Tickets are being sold at KY-building on Wednesday 1 February at 9 am at the Grand Annual Ball ticket sale.

KY Career Afternoon 25.1.2012!

KY together with Career Services at Aalto University School of Economics arranges a career afternoon for international School of Economics degree students. Guest speakers from KONE and Rovio (creator of Angry Birds) will give their insight to the afternoon.

The afternoon will provide a general introduction to Finnish working life and basic principles in job seeking in Finland (including basics of Finnish working culture, main job search channels, CV and cover letter). The session is run by Jonna Söderholm, Head of Career Services at Aalto University School of Economics.

Virpi Jalonen, Recruitment & Talent Manager, Rovio Entertainment

The session will take place at KY, Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 21 B, 3rd floor. We will begin at 2pm, but you can arrive 1.45pm for some refreshments provided by KY. The afternoon will continue to 5pm.

Are you planning to go for exchange in the academic year 2012-2013? Application period for BSc and MSc Exchange Programme begins January 10^th and ends January 31^st! There are over 40 countries you can choose from. There are several new exchange destinations available, for example Xiamen University in China, Institut Technology Bandung, School of Business and Management in Indonesia and three new universities in the UK! The list of the available exchange places and the application form will be published in Into > Bachelor and Master’s students > School of Economics, Helsinki > Internationalisation and studies abroad in the beginning of the application period on January 10^th.  From the same place you will also find more information about the application process, the selection criteria and travel reports.

International Student Services will have Open Doors on Thursday January 19^th from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. You are welcome to pop by and ask about anything that might occupy your mind regarding the exchange, the selection criteria or a specific exchange university. During the day we have a lot of material from the exchange universities available and the staff of The International Student Services will be in the office to help you.
