Tel Aviv International Week 1.9. – 8.9.2012

Tel Aviv International Week is held in September at the sunny Israel. During the week participants visit local companies and will take part in many free-time activities. Participants get to swim in the Dead Ocean, ride camels and take part in a wine tasting at a local winery. The week will also consist of a visit to the historical city of Jerusalem.

Barcelona International Week 15.9. – 21.9. 2012

The International Week at Barcelona gives you a chance to visit Catalonia. Participants will familiarize themselves not only with the city of Barcelona, but also its surroundings. The week offers many company visits and among them a visit to the pride of the city – FC Barcelona. Besides the city tours and company visits the participants will hit the local beaches so you better bring your swimwear with you.

The program, food and accommodation are free. You pay only for travelling back and forth – KY foundation covers 25 % of travelling costs (max. 200 euros)! Please notice that the amount of the support is max. 200 euros during your whole studies, so you should take this into account if you have travelled to an IW before. Send your application and possible questions by Wednesday May 23rd at 23.59 to international@kyweb.fi. KY’s international committee iCo will choose 1-2 participants on the grounds of applications. All applications will be considered anonymous.

The criteria for choosing are positive attitude, motivation, interest towards the country and its culture and will to represent KY. First-timers are favored but those who have participated in International Weeks before can apply too.

KY’s Legal Advisor is exceptionally not on call this week on Wednesday. Next consultation time is on Wednesday, 16 March at 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm.

Apply now for the International Exchange Grants of the Foundation for Economics Students in Helsinki (KY Foundation). The application period opens on Friday April 20^th at 12 pm and ends on Friday May 18^th at 4 pm.

The purpose of the grants is primarily to support Aalto University School of Economics’ BSc and MSc degree students in their international exchange studies. It can be granted for a student exchange that is at least one semester long. The grant may be awarded halved also to an academic period shorter than one semester, if the program is organized by a partner university of the Aalto University and the duration of the program is at least three weeks. Each student can receive the grant only once.
